Heat exchangers provide continuous cooling systems for power generation facilities to maintain the stable operation of critical equipment such as turbines and generators. They play an important role in cooling lubrication oil, generator components, and other process systems. Plate heat exchangers are commonly used in closed-loop cooling water systems to separate different water circuits. Untreated water from rivers, lakes, or other external sources flows through one side of the heat exchanger, while clean circulating water flows through the other side. This separation protects sensitive equipment pipelines from scaling and corrosion caused by poor water quality. For power plants and combined heat and power facilities that involve high-temperature steam or high-pressure feedwater heating, plate & shell heat exchangers provide a more suitable solution. The welded plate structure eliminates traditional gasket limitations and supports demanding temperature and pressure conditions.
By combining the efficient heat transfer characteristics of plate structures with the strength of a pressure-resistant shell, plate & shell heat exchangers deliver higher thermal performance and a more compact design compared with conventional shell and tube heat exchangers.
